Paint-Your-Cake Party FAQs

1. Do I need to bring tables, chairs, tablecloths, or other setup items?

No. Purple Lips Bakery provides all tables and chairs needed for your party. Tablecloths are not required, but you are welcome to bring your own if you would like to add to your celebration.

For safety reasons, nothing may be hung from the walls or ceiling.

2. Are food and drinks provided, or do I need to bring my own?

Purple Lips Bakery provides light refreshments for your event. Outside food and drinks are not permitted unless approved in advance.

When you book your party, you can choose from available beverage and snack options.

3. Do I need to bring birthday candles?

Yes. If you would like to use birthday candles, please bring your own.

4. Why are there minimum and maximum numbers of guests?

We want every guest to have a fun, comfortable, and affordable experience.
A minimum of 6 guests is required for us to host an event at the bakery. Due to the available space and event materials, we can accommodate a maximum of 12 guests.

5. Do I need to pay a deposit to secure my booking?

Full payment is required at the time of booking. Each party is customized, and we need to prepare materials and supplies in advance. Because of this, your final guest count is required at the time of booking.

6. What will guests be painting?

Each guest will receive a vanilla cake covered with Swiss meringue buttercream.
You’ll use palette knives and Swiss meringue buttercream to create your own cake design.

7. Do we need to bring our own painting supplies?

No! All the tools you need for the Paint-Your-Cake activity are provided.
You’ll take your finished cake home with you, but the tools stay at Purple Lips Bakery.

8. Is the activity instructed?

Paint-Your-Cake is a self-guided activity. We’ll have an employee available to answer questions and offer assistance, but you’re encouraged to use your creativity to decorate your cake.

9. The party is booked for 1.5 hours. What happens if we finish early?

Your party space is reserved for 1.5 hours. If you finish the cake activity early, you’re welcome to use the remaining time to chat and enjoy the celebration. The host is also welcome to provide additional seated activities for the group.

10. Do all guests paint the same design?

Not at all! We’ll provide inspirational photos based on the colour scheme you selected when booking your party.
The photos are simply there for inspiration. Each guest is welcome to create their own unique masterpiece or freestyle their design.

11. Do you offer gluten-free options?

Purple Lips Bakery is not a gluten-free facility. We do our best to prevent cross-contamination, but we work with gluten and nuts in our bakery. Because of this, we cannot guarantee that our products are free from gluten or nut cross-contamination.
