Event Waiver & Participant Agreement

Thank you for celebrating with us at Purple Lips Bakery! Our events are designed to be fun, creative, and enjoyable for guests ages 10 and up.

Please read the following information carefully before participating.

1. Acknowledgement of Risk

I understand that participating in a Purple Lips Bakery event involves certain risks. These may include, but are not limited to, slips, trips, falls, burns, cuts, allergic reactions, or other injuries that may occur while participating in the activity or while on the bakery premises. I understand that participation is voluntary and that I am responsible for following all safety instructions provided by Purple Lips Bakery staff.
I agree to use the provided equipment and supplies appropriately, follow all posted and verbal safety rules, and ask a staff member for assistance if I am unsure how to safely use something.

2. Release and Waiver

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I acknowledge and agree to release and hold harmless Purple Lips Bakery, its owners, employees, staff, agents, property owners/landlords, and representatives from claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from my participation in the event or my presence on the premises, except where such release is prohibited by law.
I understand that this waiver applies to activities and circumstances occurring before, during, and after the event while I am on the Purple Lips Bakery premises.

3. Participants Under 18

Participants must be 10 years of age or older.
For any participant under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept this waiver on the participant’s behalf.

By providing consent, the parent or legal guardian confirms that they have the authority to provide consent for the participant and acknowledges the risks associated with the activity.

4. Allergies & Food Safety

Purple Lips Bakery is not a nut-free or gluten-free facility. Our bakery handles products containing nuts, gluten, dairy, eggs, and other common allergens. While we take reasonable precautions to prevent cross-contact, we cannot guarantee that our products or workspace are free from allergens.

Please contact us before your event if you have questions about specific dietary concerns.

5. Photography & Video

Purple Lips Bakery may photograph or record events for promotional, social media, website, or advertising purposes.
By signing this agreement, I acknowledge and consent to photography or video that may include me or my participating child, unless I have specifically notified Purple Lips Bakery that I do not consent.
Parents and guardians are welcome to take photographs of their own guests during the event, provided that doing so does not interfere with the activity or the privacy of other guests.

6. Clothing & Footwear

For everyone’s comfort and safety, please arrive wearing comfortable, closed-toe shoes that securely attach to your feet.

7. Participant Conduct

All participants are expected to treat Purple Lips Bakery staff, other guests, the premises, and bakery equipment with care and respect. Purple Lips Bakery reserves the right to ask a participant to stop participating in an activity if their behaviour creates a safety concern for themselves or others.

8. Agreement

By signing below, I confirm that I have read and understand this waiver and the event guidelines.
For participants under 18, I confirm that I am the participant’s parent or legal guardian and am authorized to provide consent on their behalf.

I understand that Purple Lips Bakery events are designed to be creative, hands-on experiences and that participants are expected to follow staff instructions and safety guidelines.
